I would like to draw your attention to RUBNER, a traditional German manufactor of high quality machine heads. They are producing fine tuning machines of brass and nickel since 1864, as used by Kenny Hill and many other renowned luthiers. 

The company is a family-run business, producing high quality tuners that are individually made on order. Each model can be ordered with various styles of tuning knobs incl. wooden and (real) pearl (MOP). Engraving available, too. Mostly for CL slotted peg heads, but some individual tuners like the "Weissengerber" style (an example is pictured above; number on tag is the item number not the price) are made. Some steel string sets available, too.

Due to the fact that every set is individually made on order there is some production time. These tuners are a great value for the money and we offer them discounted for all orders with us if ordered 3+ sets (any model, mix).

Reflecting the high quality the prices are reasonable (range: 30 - 90 US$ for non-MOP option,  but available as an option); price includes wood knobs (rosewood or ebony) or faux ivory. Handmade in Germany.
